I love the political system of the Roman Republic- and I love games, so this was the game for me.
The materials in this game are top-notch. High quality thick cardboard, with good illustrations. What's nice is that there are extras, in case you lose one.
The game is not terribly complicated- except the first time you play. The rules don't really make all that much sense if just read. What you need to do is set up the game, and then play a round or two for training. Then, the rules are pretty easy to understand (except that some rules are kinda hidden in the wall of text, be sure to read thru that section carefully).
Once you grok the rules, the game flows very fast and is quite fun. Great for Roman history buffs.
