I bought this kit for my birthday to go along with my other Revell ship models. I have built a bunch of of models by now all of which are Revell. All the ships that I have built from them have had fit issues with the parts except for the Missouri and the Gato Class Sub, the Yorktown is not an exception. I had some issues with the island and the forecastle as well as getting the flight deck to fit right on the supports. It came out pretty good but there are some noticeable gaps. For the paint job I didnt do the one on the box but instead a war time period version that I found on the internet. Originally I was going to stick with the paint job from the box but I screwed up the flight deck with some spray paint so I stripped down the paint and re painted it. It was easier to paint and I think it looks better. Overall it was a typical Revell kit, I always build mine out of the box so no aftermarket accessories.
