This game is quite simple to learn, easy rule-set and is very beautiful. I like looking at the board after the game is over and seeing all the little settlements that have developed just like you would expect in a game about settling Oregon. There is a spatial aspect to this game that comes from the main card driven mechanic of using two cards to determine which point on the board you want to place your meeple or building.
